The reputation of the University of Florida Working Professional Doctor of Pharmacy program is truly second to none, and for good reason. - The University of Florida College of Pharmacy is one of only 62 pharmacy schools in the United States to be professionally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
- U.S. News and World Report consistently ranks the University of Florida College of Pharmacy among the top pharmacy schools in the nation, currently 9th of 62 such schools.
- Among the U.S. News and World Report rankings, UF is the highest ranked pharmacy school that offers a nontraditional Pharm.D. online or via distance learning.
- The WPPD program is the largest nontraditional distance learning Pharm.D. in history, with over 1,400 alumni and over 600 current students.
- U.S. News and World Report ranks the University of Florida among the Top 50 of all public and private universities in the United States.
- In 1985, Florida became a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), the prestigious higher-education organization comprised of the top 62 public and private institutions in North America.
- UF ranked first among public institutions in attracting National Achievement Scholars during 2002.
- UF ranks second among public institutions in the U.S. for the number of National Merit Scholars enrolled and ranks fifth among all colleges and universities in the U.S. for the number of National Merit Scholars enrolled.

- UF had the fourth-largest student enrollment of all U.S. universities in 2002 with more than 48,000 students from all 50 states and 100 foreign countries.
- NASA awarded a UF-led consortium of seven universities a $15 million grant to develop a reusable launch vehicle which would replace the space shuttle.
- UF ranked in the top 10 among AAU public universities for the number of Fulbright Awards in 2001.

Accreditations
The University of Florida is among the nation’s most respected and academically diverse public universities and is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
For more than eighty years, the UF College of Pharmacy has been educating students for professional pharmacy practice. The College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
ACPE is the sole accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit professional degree programs in pharmacy. The Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy including the Working Professional Doctor of Pharmacy distance learning program is one of less than 100 such Doctor of Pharmacy programs worldwide to earn ACPE accreditation.
