The Master of Science in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management Degree Program (MSEM) is a unique curriculum that allows students a wide range of professional opportunities in areas of Fire and Emergency Services, Homeland Security, Occupation Safety, and Business Risk Management.

The Fire & Emergency Services concentration focuses your education on Fire Engineering and Rescue Operations, as well as courses in Strategic Planning for Fire and Emergency Services, Public Emergency Services Leadership, Public Sector Budgeting and Financing, Management Theory in Leadership Services, Legislation and Legal Compliance and Worker’s Compensation and Labor Law.

The degree in Ergonomics allows students to learn valuable skills to assist any workplace in improving the layout and equipment to produce a more productive and safer environment for employees.

The Occupational Safety concentration prepares health and safety professionals with an enhanced practical training in the philosophical, technical and scientific skills and management principles necessary for compliance with standards of occupational safety.

As a student in the Master of Science in Safety, Security & Emergency Management program, you will be able to choose a “Multidisciplinary” track where you will select your support courses from a variety of subject areas.
