Forbes.com, the web site for the popular business magazine, ranked EKU among “America’s Best Colleges.” In the Forbes rankings, of the 569 public and private colleges and universities recognized nationwide, EKU claimed the 428th spot, good for third among Kentucky’s public universities, trailing only Murray State University and the University of Louisville. Because there are more than 4,000 college campuses nationwide, the Forbes ranking essentially placed Eastern among the top 10 percent of the nation’s colleges and universities.
Regionally Accredited
Eastern Kentucky University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees.
