What our Student’s are Saying
In 2005, I received a Master’s Degree in Safety, Security & Emergency Management from Eastern Kentucky University. I completed the course work while I was the Director of Law Enforcement Training at the Department of Criminal Justice Training Academy, which certainly classified me as a non-traditional student. In every situation, the faculty and staff were supportive and the quality of the content and instruction far surpassed my expectations.
Although I have moved into a new position as the Commissioner of Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement, I frequently use the knowledge gained in this program of studies. One aspect of the curriculum that was especially helpful is the practicality of the information in today’s ever-changing world of business and law enforcement. The hands-on classroom experiences that I enjoyed have consistently been applicable to my job. I am confident that I am better equipped to lead and provide for the safety of my co-workers than before I earned this degree.
