Careers in Nursing
Nurses are in one of the fastest growing professions in the United States and are considered by many to be the heartbeat of the health care system, and with the introduction of the Affordable Care Act the demand for nurses especially nurse practitioners will only increase. With the number of older Americans increasing, there’s a greater demand than ever for compassionate, driven professionals who are able to care for the sick, elderly, or disabled.
This demand is particularly high in nursing specialty areas. That’s why nurses with a specific focus and advanced training are able to take advantage of several career opportunities that best suit their interests. In order to qualify for many of the careers though you will need to have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an Accredited Nursing School and be a Registered Nurse. Some positions such as a Nurse Practitioner require a Masters in Nursing Degree. Here are just some of the nurse jobs that you can consider as you move towards beginning your career.
